What is ND Mini Camp?
ND Mini Camp is an immersive look into naturopathic medicine. In the program we explore the modalities and principles of naturopathic medicine, and give a taste to the experience of going through Bastyr’s ND program. Each day is designed to mimic the curriculum covered in the corresponding year of Bastyr’s ND program, from an introduction to naturopathic medicine to clinical education and research.
Who can participate in ND Mini Camp?
Anyone who is interested in pursuing a career in naturopathic medicine is welcome to register. Participants must be 18+ years of age.
Do I have to stay on campus?
No. You may choose from two options – overnight or day camp. Day camper registration does not include a room on campus. There are many hotel, Airbnb, and other housing options located nearby.
How do I get to campus from the airport?
Seattle has many public transportation options, including buses, trains, the Link Light Rail, and rideshare services. Find more information about getting to campus here. A shuttle will be provided on the last day of camp that returns to the airport. The shuttle will arrive around 2:00pm to Sea-Tac airport.
What amenities are provided for overnight campers?
We are able to provide a sink, mini refrigerator, fan, bath towels and linens. We recommend that you bring:
· Toiletries (i.e. shampoo, soap, toothpaste etc.)
· Alarm Clock, there is not one in the room
· Computer, we have Free Wi-Fi.
· Bathrobe and slippers or flip flops as the toilet and shower rooms are down the hallway
The 5th floor features a shared kitchen space where you can prepare meals and store food if you need a bit more space than the refrigerator in your room provides or if you need some freezer space. Pots and pans, cooking utensils, plates, drinkware and silverware are available in the 5th floor kitchenette for your convenience. Guidelines for use of the shared kitchen are posted in the space.
Are meals provided?
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided for overnight guests, beginning with dinner on August 4 and ending with lunch on August 9. Lunch will be provided to day campers. Additional food may be purchased from our Dining Commons, open M-SU 8:00am-2:00pm.
The award winning Dining Commons offers a fantastic salad bar option, creative hot meals and fresh baked goods. It also uses fresh ingredients harvested from the University's celebrated organic herb and vegetable garden. The Dining Commons offers an innovative and affordably priced menu. It serves a broad selection of items that appeal to every taste and dietary restriction including delicious gluten free, vegetarian and vegan meals*. Meals are served buffet style. All ingredients for each dish are listed right at the buffet line for your convenience.
*Allergies and intolerances: we are not a certified/designated gluten (or any) free facility and cannot guarantee the complete absence of specific ingredients. All of our food is made in a gluten-friendly kitchen, prepared and cooked using shared equipment and is not recommended for those with celiac disease or gluten allergies.

What time is checkout for overnight campers?
Overnight room checkout on Friday, August 7 is at 9:00am sharp. If you need us to store your luggage on Friday after check out, before you depart campus we will be happy to do so.
